MIB Future Panel 2022

On September 15th, a new MIB format was launched combining the 1st Medical Pitch Contest Bonn and the Symposium for Science & Industry.

This year’s key event of the MIB brought together around 200 renowned researchers and representatives from industry and start-ups.

Symposium for Science & Industry –
Advancing Medical Imaging through Artificial Intelligence

The congress focused on the use of imaging and artificial intelligence both in basic research and in clinical practice.

The research results presented along with best-practice examples confirm: AI provides immense potential to revolutionise certain areas of medical imaging in the long term. In radiology and ophthalmology, among others, the use of AI-supported systems has shown promising results: this ranges from rapid processing of complex data to significantly simplified data interpretation for safer diagnostics.

Medical Faculty promotes innovations with 60,000 Euros – First medical pitch contest of the Medical Faculty Bonn

The first pitch contest of the Medical Faculty was held at the University Hospital Bonn. Ten different teams presented their business idea in short talks to a five-member jury of venture capitalists. The three winning teams were awarded prize money totalling 60,000 euros.

The pitch contest, organised by the Transfer Team of the Medical Faculty, was part of the MIB (Medical Imaging Center Bonn) Future Panel 2022, where the latest innovations were discussed with colleagues from science and industry.
