We are a young scientist group at the Department of Epileptology at the University of Bonn Medical Center. The group is composed of young researchers with backgrounds in medicine, neuroscience, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, and philosophy. Within a network of established scientists, the Translational Neuroimaging Group co-develops and applies cutting-edge neuroimaging methods to enhance understanding and diagnostics of neurological diseases, whereby focusing on epilepsy.

Methodologically, the Translational Neuroimaging Group bridges the gap between patient care and computational neuroscience. We work in close cooperation with the Department of Epileptology at Bonn University Hospital and perform structural and functional imaging using 3T MRI for the diagnosis of epilepsy patients. Besides the cooperation with the Clinic for Epileptology, we also process images from nuclear medicine (e.g. SPECT, Single-Photon Emission CT).
