Multimodal imaging in psychiatry

Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie
Universitätsklinikum Bonn
Prof. Dr. Alexandra Philipsen

Various brain-imaging methods are used in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Our expertise includes the acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of EEG, structural MRI (including DTI), as well as task-based and resting-state fMRI. The available methods are utilized to investigate brain-cognition-affect relationships, to map the effects of therapeutic processes, and to explore differences and similarities between various diseases as compared to healthy individuals.

Furthermore, there is a focus on gene-brain interactions to predict disease progression and responsiveness to therapy.
